PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording method in which defective ejection in a recording head is prevented without deteriorating throughput and high definition images can be obtained. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording method described in the title wherein recording on a recording medium is executed with a recording head having a plurality of nozzles for ejection of liquid droplets, one pixel is formed by a plurality of scans made between the recording head and the recording medium, and pixels formed only by ejections of the liquid droplets d22 and d23 that are made in accordance with image signals and pixels formed by both the ejection of the liquid droplet d21 made in accordance with the image signal and the ejection of the liquid droplet d24 made regardless of the image signal are included in an image to be recorded. As the recording head is not required, in the above-mentioned method, to be moved to the outside of a recording area for execution of preliminary ejection, defective ejection in the recording head can be prevented without deteriorating throughput and at the same time, high definition image can be obtained. |
