PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of image defects and to extend the usable lives of a photosensitive body and the developer by incorporating toner particles containing a resin and a colorant, a fine inorganic powder, and an Nepsilon-acylbasic amino acid powder. CONSTITUTION:The developer comprises at least the toner particles containing the resin and the colorant, and the fine inorganic powder and the Nepsilon acyl basic amino acid powder meaning the acyamino acid obtained by allowing a carboxylic to react with an amino group situated at the epsilon-position to the basic amino acid. As this basic amino acid, alpha.beta-diaminomonocarboxylic acid, such as lysine, ornithine, alpha.omega-diamino butyric acid, and the Nalpha-lower-alkylated amino acid, such as Na-methyllysine or Nalpha-.Nalpha-dimethyllysine, are enumerated, and as the carboxylic acid, saturated acid, such as acetic acid, propionic acid, or adipic acid, and an unsaturated acid, such as acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or itaconic acid, are enumerated. |
