<p>PURPOSE:To staple at optional position by providing a stitching means for stitching a plurality of sheets by clinching with a staple guard unit tips of staples driven in a sheet bundle from a staple drive-in unit, a rear end support means for supporting rear end impacting to sheet rear edge, and a moving means for moving the rear end support means in the direction of the impact. CONSTITUTION:A stapler body 302 comprises a drive-in unit 302a, a staple housing unit 302b, a plate protrusion 302c, a plate spring 302d, and an arm 302e. The drive-in unit 302a and the staple housing unit 302b are supported by a shaft 303 rotatably. Staples 304 housed in the staple housing unit 302b are pushed out one by one downward by the plate protrusion 302c provided at the drive-in unit 302a. The pushed out staples 304 perforate by jogging operation a paper bundle S arranged on a finish tray 400. The tips of the staples 304 are clinched in a shape along surface shapes of staple guard stands 306a and 306b. Thus, stapling operation of the paper bundle S will be completed.</p> |
