The present invention concerns a catheter 1 preferably intended to be introduced from a large body vessel into a small body vessel and comprising an inner tube 5, a reinforcement 6 arranged on top of the inner tube 5, an outer tube 7 arranged on top of the reinforcement, and a radiopaque marking 9 at the distal end of the catheter. At least one draw wire 8 is mounted slidably in the catheter wall, one end of the draw wire 8 being secured to the distal end of the catheter, and the other end of the draw wire 8 issuing from the catheter and being accessible for attachment, for example, to a control instrument. The catheter 1 is also provided with one or more distal end portions 3, 3' which are softer than the rest of the catheter and are not covered by reinforcement 6. <IMAGE> |
