<p>PURPOSE:To provide a filter medium for polluted treatment which has high sludge living body adsorptive function and a small volume and large surface area. CONSTITUTION:Granular and powder bodies of a natural stone are stuck to the surface of a matrix 1 which is able to be immersed in polluted water in a tank to give an active layer 2 of the natural active stone having a large surface area and living body adsorptive function. Using pulverized granite, the granular and powder bodies F are made to have the optimum living body adsorptive function and thus the maximum treatment efficiency is made possible. The matrix 1 is composed of either one of a honeycomb body H, a lattice-like net, a sponge cucumber-like body, a skeletal spherical body, a wavy sheet body, a small cylindrical body, a net-like cylindrical body, a stripe-like body, a net-like body, or granular powder bodies, or a combination of these bodies and the polluted water flow is accelerated and treatment efficiency of polluted water is improved.</p> |
