PURPOSE:To designate the number of colors on a color pallet in selecting a desired color for a document containing color information and to improve operability. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of document processors 10 and 11 storing color information for outputting document information in a desired form and is provided with a color display means 8 displaying part of the stored color information and a color number designation means 4 designating the number of color information to be displayed by the color display means.
