PURPOSE:To prevent a light leak near a drain electrode and reduce the resistance of a gate electrode as to a TFT-LCD. CONSTITUTION:A shield electrode 6 is formed on the drain electrode 2. The shield electrode 6 is connected electrically to a counter electrode. A gate auxiliary electrode 12 which is connected electrically to the gate electrode 1 through contact holes 9-11 is formed on the gate electrode 1. Consequently, a voltage signal on the drain electrode 2 is cut off by the shield electrode 6 and never enters a liquid crystal layer. Further, the gate auxiliary electrode 12 reduces the resistance of the gate electrode.
