PURPOSE:To prevent malodor of stored water by installing a filter for filtration of various bacteria in a sealed casing and installing an air or oxygen supplying means inside the filter or in the upper stream side of the filter. CONSTITUTION:In the case of water supply to a water purifier 1, when a tap is turned on, water flows into the inside of a casing 3 from a jetting out case 7 while pushing up a check valve 6 from a water supplying hose 9 and powdered activated carbon 35 and water are mixed. The mixed water rises through a gap between the outer circumference of a lower end plate 12 of a filter unit 4 and the inner circumferencial wall of the inner casing 3, the mixed activated carbon is filtered by an element main body, adheres to the outer surface of the element main body and thus a precoat layer is formed. When water passes the element main body, impurities such as residual chlorine, etc., are removed by the precoat layer in the surface. Also, since a storage chamber 40 located in the upper stream side of hollow yarn 24 is filled with an oxygen releasing substance 41, stored water is prevented from becoming in anaerobic state by the oxygen released from the substance 41. |
