PURPOSE:To preveht the partial deterioration of a cleaning member by moving an image forming lens in a direction intersecting orthogonally with an optical axis at every prescribed number of copy sheets, thereby altering the image formation position for the image of an original. CONSTITUTION:For example, the image forming lens 56 is positioned in a position (a), and the image formation position of the image forming lens 56 is an image formation area Aa. When the counted number of a copy counter is, for example, more than 1000 sheets of paper,a stepping motor is driven, a variable magnification base is moved, and the image forming lens 56 is moved so as to be positioned in a position (b). When the image forming lens 56 is positioned in the position (b), the image formation position of the image forming lens 56 is an image formation area Ab. In such a manner, the image formation position of the image forming lens 56 is altered from the image formation area Aa to Ab and vise versa every time the copy counter has counts 1000 sheets of paper. Therefore, the part where the toner is stuck to the cleaning blade 33 is altered from area Ba to Bb and vice versa. |
