PURPOSE:To reduce the influences of irregularily, streaks, etc., by a method wherein a plurality of dots constituting each picture element are formed respectively with different recording elements by a first relative transfer a plurality of times, and are formed at respective different positions of the picture element. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 1 equipped with a plurality of recording elements is used. In order to form dots on a medium 2 to be recorded (recording paper) with a plurality of the recording elements, a first relative transfer of the recording paper 2 and the recording head 1 and a second relative transfer of the recording paper 2 and the recording head 1 are carried out. Then, recording is carried out by a combination of picture elements composed of dots. A picture element is composed of a plurality of dots formed of respective different recording elements to be formed by especially each of the first relative transfer a plurality of times, and a plurality of those dots are formed at different positions, of the picture element. Thereby, dispersion among recording elements of a recording characteristic is reduced, and streaks and irregularity are hardly produced. |
