<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a steering locking device from unlocking at a time when it is cut off. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an engaged member 30 being attached to a connector shaft 16 and having an engaging part 35, and a spring 31 pressing this engaged member 30 to a hanger 20 respectively. When a key cylinder is removed, the connector shaft 16 is moved to sane extent and thereby the engaged member 30 is moved to an engaging position to be engaged with a locking rod or hanger 20 from a nonengagement position, checking any movement of the locking rod to an unlocking position. As an example, a joint part making a frame 11 bendable is formed into this frame 11 lying between the key cylinder and the locking rod. When a steering locking device is broken down, the connector shaft 16 and the engaged member 30 both are moved by dint of resilience of the spring 31 and engaged with the locking rod or hanger 20, thereby checking any movement of the locking rod into the unlocking position.</p> |
