<p>PURPOSE:To provide an oxidizing catalyst for burning hydrogen, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon or the like. CONSTITUTION:An oxidizing catalyst is prepared by a method (1) wherein manganese oxide is added to composite oxide of zirconium and aluminum having alkaline earth metal oxide supported thereon, a method (2) wherein composite oxide of zirconium and aluminum is molded into a honeycomb shape or a method (3) wherein a honeycomb-shaped heat-resistant base material selected from cordierite, mullite and crystalline composite oxide consisting of MGo, Al2O3 and TiO2 is coated with the catalyst prepared by the method (1).</p> |
