INDUCTANCE ELECTRIC CURRENT SWITCHING SYSTEM AND METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a system and a method for achieving a quick current switching in an inductor. CONSTITUTION: An inductor 12 is connected in parallel with a capacitor 14. A first current source 20 and a second current source 24 provide a current to an inductor in the opposite direction via a first switch 22 and a second switch 26. The timing for switching the first and second switches 22 and 26 is controlled, and the first and second switches 22 and 26, are alternately switched by a switch control device and are allowed to stand by for π(LC)<1/2> sec while one switch is open and the other switch is closed. The direction of current that flows to the inductor is quickly switched by utilizing a resonance between the inductor and the capacitor.
