PURPOSE:To provide a low-cost electrode material having satisfactory electric conductivity and high mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:Particles of ceramics, etc., having electric conductivity are dispersed in graphite to obtain an electrode material. Titaniam carbide particles are preferably used as the electric conductive ceramic particles. Since electric conductive fine particles are dispersed in graphite, the electric conductivity of the resulting electrode material is enhanced and high toughness can be attained. |
