PURPOSE:To provide the subject skin material excellent in slipperiness, scratch resistance and durability by coatig the surface of an elastomer with a composition containing a polyorganosiloxane having a specific composition and a polymerization degree and subsequently crosslinking bonding the coated composition to the surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a thermoplastic elastomer is coated with a composition having a polyorganosiloxane (e.g. polydimethyl siloxane containing methacryloxy groups) repeating units of the formula [a is a positive integer of 1900-1200; 0.01-25mol% of R includes unsaturated groups and/or phenylketone group as essential groups and, in adition, at least one substituent such as H, hydroxyl group, alkoxy, acetoxy, oxime, enoxy, amino, amido, aminoxy, epoxy, mercapto, ester or the like; the remainder of R is 1-15C hydrocarbon (excluding unsaturated groups) and/or a fluorinated group substituent] and having an average polymerization degree of 20-10000. The coated composition is crosslinked and bonded to the surface of the elastomer to provide the objective skin material for vehicle interiors. |
