摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which gives a coating film having excellent non-tackiness, adhesiveness, surface hardness, water resistance, anti- fogging properties, and persistence thereof, even under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, by mixing an aqueous dispersion of a specified hydrophobic acrylic resin with an inorganic colloidal sol, and then adding a surface active agent to this mixture. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous dispersion (A) of a hydrophobic acrylic resin having a glass transition temperature of 35-80 deg.C is prepared by the emulsion polymerization of 60-100wt% of, e.g., an alkyl (meth)acrylate and 0-40wt% alpha,beta- ethylenically unsaturated monomer in an aqueous medium in the presence of an emulsifier. An inorganic colloidal sol (B) is obtained by dispersing inorganic aqueous colloidal particles of, e.g., silica, alumina, TiO2 or iron hydroxide, having an average solid particle diameter of 5-100mu in a hydrophilic medium. 100pts.wt. aqueous dispersion A is mixed with 50-400pts.wt. (solids) inorganic colloidal sol B, and 0.1-50pts.wt. surface active agent (C) (e.g., sorbitan monostearate) is then added to this mixture to easily disperse components A and B rapidly and uniformly. If required, 0.1-30pts.wt. crosslinking agent (D) (e.g., aziridine compound) is incorporated into this composition.
