Ski boot of the "wallet-opening" type, characterised in that its structure includes a rigid lower shell surmounted by an upper (boot leg), itself consisting, in its front part, of an upward extension of the lower shell and, in its rear part, of a rigid rear cover piece articulated with respect to said lower shell, gripping means being distributed along the front face of the boot, whilst means for controlling the position of advance (cant) are provided between the said lower shell and the upper, and in that at least one of the gripping means is located in the zone of the flex fold, directly on the lower shell, whilst the top of the upper enclosing the skier's lower leg is provided with another gripping means fixed to the front upper end of the rear cover piece surrounding the front upper zone of the extension of the lower shell. <IMAGE>
