A filter of the kind comprising, in a body (10) with a side entry (11) and axial exit (not visible in the figure), a stationary strainer (14) of circular cross-sectional outline, with the side wall (15) of the body (10) which lies at all points overall obliquely in relation to the strainer (14) while continually approaching the latter from the entry (11) towards a collecting space (16) to which a discharge conduit (17) is connected. According to the invention, at least one washing sprinkler bar (24) fitted so as to rotate freely around the axis (A) of the whole is inserted into the sprinkler (14) along a generatrix.
