PURPOSE:To obtain the titled liq. separation membrane having a high separation factor, a high permeation flow rate, and an excellent membrane-forming property in a permeation vaporizing method by using a copolymer of substituted acetylene shown by the specified formula. CONSTITUTION:For example, a catalyst of tantalum, etc., is added to a soln. of the mixture of 1-(trimethylsilil)-1-propyne and 1-phenyl-1-propyne in toluene, and polymerization is carried out to obtain a copolymer consisting of at least two kinds of repeating units shown by formula I (R1 is H, halogen, alkyl, etc., and R2 is aryl, groups shown by formulas III and IV, etc.) and/or the repeating units shown by formula II (R3 is H, halogen, alkyl, etc., and R4-7 are aryl, a group shown by formula V, etc.). The copolymer is dissolved in toluene, etc., to prepare a casting soln., the soln. is cast over a glass sheet, and the solvent is vaporized to obtain a filmy membrane. The membrane thus obtained has an excellent performance in separating a liq. mixture of water-ethanol, etc., by a permeation vaporizing method. |
