A mop wringing system with rollers wrings a mop (12) in a wringer (10) having a housing (50) with two resilient wringing rollers (68,70). The first roller (70) may be moved out of contact with the second roller (68) to permit entry of the mop by an L-shaped arm (72) swung by a handle (90), or by a motor (106) which engages the cam surface of a further L-shaped arm (74) carrying the roller. The first roller is separately rotated by teeth on its arm engaging its toothed wheel independently of pressure transmission by cam surface of the L-shaped arm, urging it into contact with the second roller to eliminate risk of tooth jamming due to use for pressing.
