A thermal transfer recording medium characterized in that, in order to obtain an image which is invisible under the visible light rays but can be detected by the naked eye or an image sensor under the irradiation of a light having a specific wavelength, said medium includes a hot-melt vehicle and a substance which becomes luminous or absorbs a light under the irradiation of a light having a specific wavelength, and a colorless, transparent ink for thermal transfer is held on one surface of a base under the visible light rays. This recording medium is used for forming a bar code which is invisible under the visible light rays. |
