<p>PURPOSE:To include ozone in stored water and humidifying water and to enable legionella germ or the like to be disterilized positively by a method wherein an ultraviolet ray radiation means disposed at a water accumulation part of an ultrasonic humidifier is covered by means for supplying gas containing ozone in a spaced-apart relation. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic humidifier 1 is comprised of a water accumulation part 2 for temporarily storing water acting as a source of humidifying water, an ultrasonic vibrator 3 for atomizing the stored water and a discharging port 4 for discharging generated humidifying water. In this case, the water accumulation part 2 has an ultraviolet ray radiation means 5 covered by means for supplying gas containing ozone 6 in such a way as it may be immersed in the accumulated water. Between the aforesaid both means 5 and 6 is defined a spacing 7 where gas containing oxygen is received and the gas can be stayed for a sufficient period of time to convert oxygen into ozone. In addition, to the aforesaid both means 5 and 6 are connected a power supply 8 and a source of oxygen 9. With such an arrangement, ozone is contained in the stored water and the humidifying water, thereby legionella germ is positively sterilized at a part contacting with humidifying water.</p> |
