<p>The invention relates to an apparatus for the production of a folded non-woven fabric, comprising means (1 to 3) including a card (3) for making a fibre web of the non-woven fabric (4) and a folder (5 to 9) for folding the fibre web. To reduce the need of space required by the apparatus, the folder comprises a transfer table (6), on which the card (3) is positioned in a way allowing a back and forth movement, a mechanism (7 to 9) for moving the card (3) back and forth supported on the transfer table (6) and a feed means (5) allowing a change of distance and positioned between the card (3) and the means (1 to 2) providing it with fibres.</p> |
