<p>The rods in a fuel element are arranged in the interstices of a grid. The grid intersections are distributed in chequered array partly in an upstream and partly in a downstream crossing plane. The grid lines (11, 12, 13, 14) run in zigzag array between the two planes. The flow resistance caused by the lines (11-14) and/or mixing vanes (20, 21, 22, 23) arranged thereon is thereby shifted into different axial planes and considerably reduced.</p> |
