The recess in the second part has a corresponding conical shape. The first component which has the conical slide face (12) has a greater coefficient of thermal expansion than the second part. The components are arranged in series. One component can be divided in the direction of the cone axis and is thus radially and axially adjustable. A fit-in member can be provided in the dividing seam. An expanding device such as an eccentric cam could engage on the seam. The components can be joined into a preassembled unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - Thermal expansion compensation system. When the temp. rises the dia. of the first component increases more than the second component and the two parts slide axially apart.
