<p>A method for thermochemical treatment of articles in a gas discharge plasma consists in that the gas discharge plasma between an anode and a cathode is generated at a lowered value of the reactional gas by ionizing the reactional gas with electrons separated from a metal-gas plasma generated by means of an integrally cold cathode of an electric arc discharge, then the article under treatment is heated up to the working temperature and is conditioned within the desired temperature interval. For that purpose in a device implementing the method an integrally cold cathode (2) of an electric arc discharge is used as cathode and the device is provided with a means (13) located between the said cathode (2) and the anode (3), which is impenetrable for the metal ions generated by the cathode (2) but penetrable for the electrons separated from the metal-gas plasma generated by the cathode (2).</p> |
