<p>PURPOSE:To prevent deposition of dust on gas inlet end surfaces of a packing material, by providing movable baffle plates for gas at a gas upstream side of the packing material in the solid-gas catalytic reactor so that turbulence of the gas flow may be produced in the downstream region therefrom to the end surface of the packing material. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of the baffle plates 4 for producing the tubulence of the gas flow upstream of packed layers 2 are fixed to a horizontally movable supporter 5. The supporter 5 comprises a system to automatically reciprocate the supporter 5 along its length so that the deposited dust 6 can be removed thoroughly. Within the packed layers 2, NOx and SOx in the combustion gas will react with a reducing agent that has been previously supplied to the packed layer or will be adsorbed on the packing material and removed catalytically by the solid/gas contact, so that the gas passed through the packed layer 2 is discharged as purified gas 3 to outside of the system. Each of the filled layer 2 is made of a packing material having gas passage in the form of lattice, honeycomb or the like.</p> |
