A device is disclosed for burring and/or dusting pressed tablets or pills supplied from a tablet press. The tablet or pill screening drum (2) is rotatively mouted around its longitudinal axis (17) and its casing is formed by overlapping, mutually spaced apart parts (3, 4), leaving intermediate channels open to the outside. The casing of the screening drum (2) has two bent parts (3, 4) arranged in the longitudinal direction of the screening drum (2), transversely offset to each other, forming contiguous, flat surfaces (18, 19, 20, 21, 22) that extend in the longitudinal direction at an angle to each other. Each part (3, 4) forms half of the casing. The adjacent longitudinal edges (23, 24, 23', 24') of the parts (3, 4) leave therebetween an outwardly open longitudinal slit (1) that extends over the length of the parts (3, 4) and is wider than the largest diameter of the individual tablets or pills, whereas the inner longitudinal edges (23', 24) of the parts (3, 4) form fall edges over which the tablet or pills slide and fall on the underlying part (3, 4) of the casing when the screening drum (2) is rotated.
