A hoe machine for row cultivation is mounted on a tubular frame consisting of a transverse member (1) with a coupler (9), and a number of outriggers (24) with wheels (26). Each outrigger (24) comprises a parallelogramic frame (10, 11, 12) supporting mitre gear drive (14), and driving (15) mechanisms. The input gear (14a) is connected to a propeller shaft (16, 17) and drives a transverse shaft (19) which transmits the drive to the flanking gears (14), and subsequently to the gyroscopic tool assembly (21, 22, 23). ADVANTAGE - Eliminates damage to plants, is adaptable in breadth of operation.
