<p>PURPOSE:To improve productivity by automatically correcting the draft at each stand in accordance with the variation of coefficient of friction due to the variance of the roughness of dull at the time of using dull work rolls for the final stage stand in a tandem rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:The dull work rolls of the final stage stand are changed (s2), the initial distribution of the draft to each stand is executed (s3) and rolling is done (s4). A coefficient mu1 of friction is determined from rolling results (s5) and compared with the coefficient mu0 of friction that is preliminarily decided (s6). When mu1<=mu0 the draft at the final stage is increased, that at the initial stage is decreased and rolling speed is increased (s7-s9). When mu1>mu0, the draft at the final stage is decreased and the draft at the intermediate stage is increased (s10, s11).</p> |
