A plastic tube with bell and spigot ends to join up into lengths has a sealing ring fitting into a groove all round the joint part where the o.d. is flush when the next tube spigot end is inserted. The sealing ring is a wide strip with a series of successive ribs along the tube axis and with grooves between them.
