Pistons are respectively arranged in the chamber, driven externally together or phase shifted, effecting the volumetric alteration of the chamber. The pump is designed in the form of a rotary piston machine with a stationary outer housing (100'). In this a rotatable outer rotor (100) is arranged which contains the inner rotor (178) located rotationally opposite it. Radially oriented overflow openings (111,112) are arranged in the outer rotor (100'), which, in the working position, align with the ambient air connections (105,106) in the wall (124) of the outer housing. Connection openings (109,110) are provided at the side of the outer housing for at least one heat exchanger (104). All the openings (111,112; 109,110) are arranged in such away that the rotary pistons (178), effecting the vol. alterations in the outer rotor (100), work as closing and opening elements for these openings. ADVANTAGE - Type of heat pump which can be operated without special heat carrying medium, managed at low cost of appts. without exacting sealing.
