An attachment for a ladder (9) is described comprising an elongated member (1) having a rubber wheel (2) at each end to engage and grip a wall (10) against which the attachment rests. The mid-portion of the elongated member (1) is shaped into a loop (6) which is bent at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the member (1) to form two side portions (7) between the ends of the member (1) and the loop (6) such that the loop (6) is offset from the longitudinal axis of the member (1). The loop (6) when the attachment is fitted, partially encircles and overlies a rung (11) of the ladder (9), the side portions (7) engaging the stiles (12) of the ladder (9), each wheel (2) extending sideways beyond the ladder to provide a gravitational assist to retain the loop (6) in engagement with the rung (11). |
