摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain a high-density crude crystalline particle magnesia clinker by treating a magnesium-containing aqueous solution with an ion-exchange resin for capturing a boron-containing anion. CONSTITUTION:Sea water, brine salt water or a decarbonated liquid therefrom is passed through a tower in which an ion-exchange resin (e.g. resin having N-methylglucamine group) is packed. The treating rate is 0.1-0.6m<3>/min per m<3> of ion-exchange resin. Boron content of the liquid is reduced to about 12-13ppm to <=1 ppm (expressed in terms of B2O3) in the treatment. Then the liquid is reacted with dolomite, lime or hydrate thereof produce a high-purity magnesium hydroxide. The magnesium hydroxide is formed into a molded article having 1.5-1.7g/cm<3> density under pressure of 2-3ton/cm<3> and the article is calcined at 1900-2100 deg.C to provide the objective substance having a composition shown by the table (total amount of oxides is 100wt.%) and having >=3.40g/cm<3> bulk density and >=80 mum average particle diameter of periclease crystal. |
