PURPOSE:To suppress formation of BaCO3 and enable high-temperature burning in air by filling a specific sample in a mold composed of a sintered compact consisting essentially of Si3N4, SiC or alumina, hot-pressing and burning the aforementioned sample. CONSTITUTION:A mold is obtained by forming a die 1 and press punches 2 from a sintered compact consisting essentially of Si3N4, SiC or alumina. Mold release materials 4 having 0.1-1mm thickness are then placed among the above- mentioned die 1, the press punches 2 and a sample 3 composed of oxide powder or oxide-forming compound powder containing at least copper element in the metallic elements constituting an oxide superconductor, and hot-pressing and burning are then carried out at 300-1000 deg.C in air. |
