PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material capable of non-contact, rapid and high-resolution thermal recording using a laser beam and a technique of performing rapid and high-resolution recording using a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A recording material consists of at least, a light absorptive layer containing a microcapsule which envelops a light absorptive substance, a binder and a foaming agent decomposing thermally and generating a gas as a core material. In addition, an image recording technique using the recording material and a laser beam is employed. After the light absorptive layer of the recording material is irradiated with a laser beam in an image fashion, an image-receiving sheet is allowed to adhere to the light absorptive layer, and is pressed so that a latent image formed on the light absorptive layer in accordance with the exposure of a laser beam is transferred to an image receiving sheet. Thus a visible image is obtained by an image formation technique. |
