PURPOSE:To obtain a foam excellent in conductivity and dielectric properties by expanding particles obtained by applying an emulsion to the surfaces of pre-expended thermoplastic resin particles, a spreading a conductive substance and a dielectric substance thereon and drying them by heating in a mold. CONSTITUTION:A foam is obtained by packing conductive dielectric and expandable thermoplastic resin particles prepared by applying an emulsion (e.g. acrylic organic polymer emulsion) to surfaces of pre-expanded thermoplastic resin particles (e.g. particles prepared by pre-expending styrene particle of a particle diameter of 0.3-3mm impregnated with a blowing agent such as propane by a common process at an expansion ratio of 30-50), spreading a conductive substance (e.g. carbon black/carbon fiber mixture) and a dielectric substance (e.g. Rochelle salt) thereon, and drying the particles. The foam obtained in this way by a simple production process has excellent conductivity and dielectric properties. |
