The fastening mechanism, such as button or stud, has an interchangeable cover (2), with an interchangeable holder for a decorative component such as hologram. The mechanism incorporates measuring devices, sensors, adaptor-ring, a T-adaptor and base. It has a foot-piece for automatic assembly and another foot-piece for manual assembly. At least one auxiliary piece made of elastic material has a smooth upper surface. Between the auxiliary piece and an extension may be a nominal break-point.
