PURPOSE:To send a request for a conversation to an opposite side without operating a call button specially by providing a voice recognition phase in way of a facsimile communication procedure and also providing a voice recognizing means and a ringing-tone generating means. CONSTITUTION:The specific voice recognition phase is provided to a telephone circuit 1 before and after the picture communication procedure, and a voice output circuit 6 outputs ''Say hellow for a talk.'' to the circuit 1. When the voice recognition device 8 of the opposite-side facsimile equipment FAX recognizes this voice, a controller 11 operates to connect the circuit A from a FAX line 9 to the side of a telephone set 3, and informs through a speaker that the transmitting subscriber desires to talk. When the opposite person answers, the circuit 8 recognizes that and outputs the ringing tone of this side from a speaker. Further, the circuit 6 outputs '' Calling now, so hold for a while.'' to the circuit 1, which is then switched to the telephone set. When there is no answer within a specific time, the normal FAX procedure is carried on. |
