<p>A vehicle speed control unit comprises circuitry which produces a signal representing the road speed of a vehicle, compares it with a signal representing the predetermined maximum speed of the vehicle and generates a signal therefrom which is used to alter the mark/space ratio of a series of pulses. These varying pulses in turn are employed to vary the output pressure from a solenoid valve which is fed to a piston and cylinder device to alter the vehicle throttle opening.</p> |
