Apparatus for the disposal of laboratory waste, in particular of solvents or solvent-containing flammable substances, inorganic aqueous solutions and solids, such as chemically wetted solids. In an outer body (20), which can be opened on one side, a compartment bottom is provided which can be drawn out through the opened side and on which an inner container (40), which is open at the top, is positioned removably. The inner container (40) is provided with an air vent connection (60). In the inner container (40) an insert tray and the receptacle itself are provided, which receptacle is held by the insert tray. The filled container (40) is removed by turning away a front doublet formed by the opened side (21) of the outer body (20) and the door of the inner container (40), so that the container can be drawn horizontally onto a carriage which has been provided.
