<p>A flexible duplex bag having a resealable closure (6) and a method of making same includes an outer bag (4) having front and rear panels (41, 43) connected together at side edges (10, 11), a gusset (45) connecting together top portions of said panels, and an inner bag (2) substantially co-extensive with the outer bag. The resealable closure (6) is connected to the outer bag gusset astride a location where the gusset joins the front panel. A handle (8) bridges the outer bag gusset. The resealable closure includes a first matable section (61) bonded to the outer bag gusset, and a second matable section bonded to a top portion of the outer bag front panel. The handle is coupled to the outer bag rear panel and to the second matable section (63). In a second embodiment, the handle is coupled to the outer bag rear panel and is either coupled to or integral with the first matable section.</p> |
