<p>A device (10) for speeding the pace of a game of blackjack is provided. The device is comprised of a housing (12) having a top surface and an upper planar portion (19). The top surface (20) will be connected on top to the upper planar portion (19). A card reader (29) for reading a corner of a specialized playing card is located within the housing (12). An indicator (32) cooperating with the card reader is provided to inform the dealer if his down card is of a desired value. There is also disclosed herein a method for increasing the speed of play in an organized game of blackjack.</p> |
