The door has a frame (28) which is only secured to the inner door leaf (10). The frame (28) depth, at right angles to the door plane, is less than the clear gap between the inner door leaf (10) and the outer leaf (12), so that the frame (28) has no thermal contact with the outer door leaf (12). Pref. distance piece with thermal insulation is between the edge of the frame (28) towards the outer door leaf (12), and the outer door leaf (12), esp. foam rubber strips (36) round the opening (26) in the outer door leaf (12) for the viewing window. The inner door leaf (10) is fixed to the outer leaf (12) by straps with low thermoconductivity. The circumference of the outer door leaf (12) has the edges turned in as a rib frame to contain the inner door leaf (10) at the plane of its inner edge, with a sepg. joint, held in place by mounting straps. ADVANTAGE - The door design and frame reduces the amt. of that which passes to the area of the viewing window, for temp. controlled zones, cultivation areas and the like.
