PURPOSE:To prepare the title article having a greatly improved transparency at a low cost by compounding a specific propylene polymer with a disubstd. benzylidenesorbitol and a specific alkyl alcohol in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. propylene polymer having a melt flow rate of 0.1-100g/10 min [pref. a propylene homopolymer or a random or block copolymer made of a major amt. of (pref. at least 70wt.%) propylene with a minor amt. of another alpha-olefin (e.g. ethylene or butene-1)] is compounded with 0.01-05 pt.wt. disubsted. dibenzylidenesorbitol of the formula (wherein R is 1-8C alkyl, alkoxy, or halogen; and (m) and (n) are each 0-3 provided that (m+n)>=1) and 0.01-1.0 pt.wt. 8-30C alkyl alcohol (e.g. stearyl or lauryl alcohol), to give a resin compsn,. which contg. only little dibenzylidenesorbitiol, gives an injection molded article having a greatly improved transparency at a low cost. |
