The surface of the blanket cylinder of a printing machine is cleaned with the aid of a trough (3). The trough is mounted on a shaft (2) which is mounted parallel to the cylinder axis. The trough (3) can be swung about the shaft (2) so that the blanket cylinder is partly enclosed in the trough. The side wall of the trough is provided with a row of nozzles (7) which spray a cleaning liquid on to the blanket cylinder as it is rotated. A wiper bar (8) mounted above the nozzles removes the used liquid from the cylinder. The position of the wiper bar can be adjusted by means of its fixing screws (10). USE/ADVANTAGE - Cleaning device for the blanket cylinder of a printing machine has a wiper bar which is easily adjusted.
