<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus for automatically performing an integrated operation from detecting damage on an overhead wire to repairing. CONSTITUTION:A self-propelled runner 20 traveling along an overhead wire 1, has a damage detector 4 for detecting damage 2 on the way of a route of the wire, a video camera 10 for imaging a damage state, etc., when the damage is detected by the detector 4, and a picture transmitter 8 for transmitting the image of the damage state to a ground station. A radio device 12 for receiving a repair command sent from the ground station upon judgement of necessity of a repair, and a damage repairing unit 5 for repairing the wire 1 by applying reinforcing means such as an armor rod, etc., on the damaged part 2, detected by the detector 4 when the command is sent, are placed.</p> |
