CONNECTING JOINT OF WIPER FOR CAR AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a connecting joint and to make it easy to manufacture the joint by communicating the small-diameter hole of each of flat portions located at both end portions of a rod body with the cylindrical portion of the rod body so as to discharge a washing liquid without providing a liquid hole portion in particular for discharging the washing liquid migrating into the cylindrical portion. CONSTITUTION:A connecting joint serving as a link rod has flat portions 11B at both end portions thereof, a rod main body 10 located between the portions 11B and made of a pipe material equipped with a cylindrical portion 12, and a connecting joint portion 13B molded from resin integrally with both ends of the rod main body 10. The flat portions 11B are each formed by upper 20B and lower 21B plate portions formed by crushing of both end portions of the cylindrical portion 12 and have a large-diameter hole 14B and a small-diameter hole 15B provided respectively in the outside and inside thereof and the inside of the cylindrical portion 12 is communicated with the open end of the small-diameter hole 14B via a space 32B. Discharging of a washing liquid used in removing oil after the molding of the rod main body 10 is thereby facilitated. The connecting joint portion 13B made of resin is molded integrally with the flat portions 11B in such a manner as inserting the flat portions 11B therein.
