<p>This is a rotating electric machine intended for heating an air current, comprising an inductor able to create a crown of magnetic poles of gradually alternating polarities and an armature able to run past the inductor with interposition of a cylindrical air-gap of revolution. The armature includes a sleeve of revolution (1) made of a laminated ferromagnetic material, hollowed out in the vicinity of one of its two cylindrical faces by a crown of straight notches (4) extending parallel to the axis of the sleeve (1) and open at their two axial ends, each of these notches (4) being lined with a zig-zag corrugated copper sheet (6), the two axial edges (63) of the sheets (6) jutting out axially from the sleeve (1) and being connected together electrically by two copper rings (8) axially enclosing the sleeve (1).
