<p>The invention relates to the field of lighting and its subject is a lamp. This lamp, of the type of those comprising a casing (4) intended to house a light source (18, 22, 24) connected to a cap (10) intended to be connected to a socket (14), is principally characterised in that the casing (4) and the light source which it contains are connected to the cap (10) by means of a flexible, electrically conducting lead (12), so that the positioning of the light source with respect to the socket can be freely determined, the zone of connection between the flexible lead (12) and the cap (10) being protected by an end piece (36) made of an insulating material; additionally, the housing incorporates voltage-conversion means.
